Oilers demolish Canes 4-0; series knotted at 3

Since it took me more than 3 minutes to post last time (despite the fact that it takes me 2 hours to get home from the game), the Oilers bloggers threw daggers this way. In the interest of not giving them that opportunity, here's the bare bones post. A proper post with full details will follow.

The Canes were horrible tonight. They were dominated in every aspect of the game. It was downright embarrassing.

This series will be decided Monday night in a single game in Raleigh. Carolina will have to do something other than else, because on Saturday, they looked like an ECHL team.

The Canes only managed to take something like two shots on goal for the entire game, and they spent a significant amount of time in the box. Of course some of the calls were questionable, but the officials had nothing to do with the fact that the Canes were embarrassingly bad.

The only thing that was positive for the Canes was that Erik Cole made a surprising return. He looked really good in his limited ice time.

I thought Cole looked shitty. He had his head down all night. He better hope his rust doesn't cost him a career.

If you don't get the CBC feed, you wouldn't have seen this, but Canes fans are apparently assholes. Don Cheery showed a clip of a bunch of Clay Aikens lipping MacT off in Game 5, and grabbing their crotches. When Saint Fernando scored, Mac T turned around and flashed the boys 7 digits. I love poetry.

Just an update on Erik Cole. I felt sorry for him after the Orpik dealy. When he says Ethan Moreau was head hunting him. Not some much. Yo Erik tighten up the chin strap this is for all the marbles. Nobody gets a pass when Lord Stanley is on the line. If Torres has to nail the Anthem singer he will do it.
Game 7 60 minutes of pure terror for both teams fans.... May the best team win

Did he say that? What a Karen.

Erik Cole looked dangerous out there tonight. Everybody else was lethargic.

What? He expectd charity or something? I admire him for having the balls to dress for this game. But if he were to come back from such a well publicized injury before he's ready, he might as well be wearing a bullseye. Nobody did what Scott Stevens wouldn't do. So if he did not enjoy being a target, don't dress.

Hey, "anonymous..." Would it kill you to set up a Blogger profile? It's really easy.

and moreau was headhunting. two forearms to the side of the head and he left his feet.

And guess what, Cole screamed "yeah!" right at him and popped up quick.

Screw the Oilers! We want the Cup!

Now, if someone could locate Rod Brind'Amour and inform him that there is a game tomorrow he might want to show up for, I would appreciate it.

May the best team win. The Canes will play there best game tommorow. So will the Oilers. Good luck to both teams. It is too bad that one team has to lose.

Canes will win 3-2
