The Albany River Rats concluded their regular season today with a 3-2 loss at
Philadelphia. This is also going to be their opponent in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs. The AHL uses an oddball 1-2-2-2 format as opposed to the 2-2-1-1-1 format used in the NHL. As the #3 seed in the East Division, Albany will be the "road" team, and will host games 1,4 and 5.
